The book "Treasures of the Adriatic Sea", authored by Danijel Frka and Jasen Mesić, is a major work of Croatian history and culture, primarily intended for divers because it is written in the form of a guide.
The book presents 56 diving ventures at the 56 most important locations of wrecks in Istria, the northern, central and southern Adriatic, and due to the whole series of attractive color photographs and author's paintings by Danijel Frka, it is interesting not only to divers, but also to many lovers of the sea and the undersea, as well as to those who deal with maritime and aviation history.
The author's wish was to complete the picture of the ancient sites, researching the cargo of former ships and the remains of the cargo that have remained preserved under the sand deposits to this day.
The book "Treasures of the Adriatic Sea" is illustrated with more than 500 underwater photographs as well as original drawings, which are accompanied by information about the location, causes of the sinking, depth, current, visibility, as well as the importance of the site. The texts tell the history and circumstances of the sinking of each wreck, which thus become part of an attractive mosaic of Adriatic secrets.
The book was published in Croatian, and English, German and Italian editions!
